Museum for noise and sound in the urban context of Valparaiso
The Museo Tsonoro is an independent appendix to the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s mission is to examine, expose and preserve Valparaíso’s acoustic identity. The non-locational character of the Museum Tsonoro follows the nature of the topic as adequate statements about acoustic situations can only be achieved when regarding individual events in their site specific context and in relation to the surrounding urban structure.
The official opening of the Museo Tsonoro takes place on the 9th of December at 14:00 on Sotomayor in Valparaíso.
